This wedding was a special one for me, and is also going to introduce something about me you may not know. Pre-photography I was obsessed with swing dancing. I lived, ate, breathed it for a number of years – taught, trained, danced, competed, you name it! And I loved aerials – yep, I was crazy enough to let guys throw me over their heads on a regular basis. Wedding photography has its risks but compared to swing dancing I find it much safer (but I have to admit I miss the stomach muscles which I’ve never been able to get back since).
But, back to the point, it was during my swing dance phase that I met Timana. If I was the tomboy in the room, Timana was the girl who always looked graceful and lovely. And she hasn’t changed a bit because that’s exactly how I would describe her entire wedding day. Her and Mark were married at Brambledale Farm, a spectacular venue on the Bellarine Peninsula. The setting and views were amazing, the bridal party so much fun to work with, and Melbourne’s weather set out to impress as it so often did for my weddings last season.
Timana, thank you for asking me to photograph your beautiful wedding, and in addition have the buzz of watching a friend have one of the best days of their lives. I loved every second!
And thanks also to my awesome second shooter on the day Kellie for the fantastic job she did helping me out!
