All of us at one stage or another will be touched by cancer. From close friends and family through to acquaintances it has already impacted my life. And unfortunately I’m sure it will do so again.
Each day that I have my health and my family is a day that I am overwhelmingly grateful for. And hopefully also another day closer to a cure for all forms of cancer.
So it is an absolute privilege and honour to be one of the photographers participating in this year’s National Family Portrait Month. Where I am able to use my craft to help raise funds to find a cure for women’s cancer.
This year a group of professional photographers from around Australia are calling out for Mothers and Daughters to come forward to help raise funds. All you need to do is register through the National Family Portrait Month website, or directly through a studio. To register it’s just a $51 participation fee, which will be forwarded to the Women’s Cancer Foundation to go towards research to find a cure for Ovarian Cancer. You can then book a Mother and Daughter Portrait Session with any of the participating photographers, and one image from each session will appear in an upcoming inspiring book called “Mothers and Daughters…. A Loving Bond.”
The images below are just a few of the many showcased in my Mother and Daughter Portrait Sessions gallery. The response to these portrait sessions last year was overwhelming, with so many women commenting on how lovely it was to create such special memories. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to capture some for your family while giving to a wonderful cause at the same time.
“Fi you make everyone so comfortable when taking the photos, you are very down to earth, warm and personable. I will not go anywhere else to have professional photos taken.” Sharon, 2015
“It was a lovely, happy atmosphere. Fi worked hard to get all the best shots with bub, and it paid off! Now I have some very special memories with my mum and daughter to treasure for years to come. Thanks Fi!” Kirstie, 2015
